it’s very cool there is a bulk rename feature. I used to install Thunar for that. Now, it would be very cool, if it remembered all (!) the settings, or if there was a checkbox to enable saving all settings for the next time. By all settings I mean that it shouldn’t have one checkbox that only acts for the function that is currently selected (replace, insert, remove or change case). Alternatively there should be five checkboxes: One for all next to four others for each single thing, all five visible at all times, independently of the selected function.

If you are indeed talking about "Caja" and specifically talking about the "Rename All..." option which I now see that appears as an option of the context menu when you select multiple files in Caja, and then right click on your mouse, I think that feature is provided by the "Python: caja-rename" Python-caja extension, as shown by going to the "Edit" menu of "Caja" -> "Preferences" (which is last option / command of the "Edit" menu") and then clicking on the "Extensions" tab, as shown in the following screenshot:
Some additional experiences and web searches are making me think that this "caja-rename" extension has its home at the web page https://tari.in/www/software/caja-rename/ :
At the end of that web page, I've found the following question and answer:

Hi Tari, Is there a way, to give the Rename Dialog an accelerator key? Like this for regular (non-extension) actions in ~/.config/caja
