Remove indicators from indicator applet complete in 22.04 LTS

I use the Traditional panel. I would like to remove the shutdown computer and the message mailbox from the indicator applet complete. I used to be able to hide the mailbox, but no longer can, and my old command to remove the shutdown button no longer works.

$ systemctl mask --user indicator-session
$ sudo chmod a-x /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/indicator-session/indicator-session-service
[sudo] password for jim:
chmod: cannot access '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/indicator-session/indicator-session-service': No such file or directory

These are not included on the new "indicator" in the control center and are not in the new dconf editor from what I could find.

Any ideas?

You can turn off most of the elements of indicator-applet-complete from 'Startup Applications' under Preferences. Or maybe just remove indicator applet complete from the panel and add back in what you need from 'add to panel'.

Thanks that worked. I had no idea what the Ayatana indicators were so was reluctant to uncheck them. All fixed now.
