Remove network connection from Places>Network

I am trying to connect to an Apple Time Capsule with no luck so far.

Unfortunately in the process I created two entries I would like to get rid of, but don't see how to accomplish the task. It is the two labeled ... MLtc

Thanks, Fred

I have a feeling that might be a bug Fred. I have had exactly the same issue in my network places in Caja where two icons appear for the same network location. I've got the issue right now. See below:

Can you log in with either of them?

Yeah, they both work. For reasons related to previous discussions by us, I think this must be a distro independent Mate issue as opposed to a specific Ubuntu Mate issue

Maybe is a good idea to report the problem upstream

Since they aren’t working for the Time Capsule I would like to delete them and start afresh.
I don’t see how to do that.
Blind as a bat

Thanks, Fred

I don’t have a clue how to fix it to be honest Fred. It’s nothing obvious that’s for sure. It’s likely something down in the bowels of Caja and that is way above my intellectual pay scale.

Also, I suppose I have a reasonably high tolerance threshold for miner irritations (to me) that don’t stop me getting on with what I want to do, as opposed to stuff that does get in the way of what I want to do.

okay, this might provide some clues… though I don’t know what yet…

This is from the address bar of one of my “server” locations

smb://server.local/

and this is the address from the other one

smb://server/

Slightly different addresses. Don’t know why or what it means yet…

It might be something wrong with Samba

That would not surprise me in the least. Samba throws a wobbly on an annual basis. Usually every time they introduce “improvements” to it.

Absolutely perfect attitude. I need to adopt that attitude.
