Is there any way to make the icons larger in the panel.
I know you can use resize icon for desktop items.

Though it seems the resizing the panel has the same effect up to a point:

Adjusting size in panel properties enlarged icons a little.
The Gimp icon is too small. I even made one 512x512, but the size in the panel does not change.
I’m shooting in the dark here but if the gimp icon for that size doesn’t exist try making one not so big in case it doesn’t downscale but the same size as the others and place it in the appropriate folder for that size.
You can also get to the panel properties by right clicking on the panel. The bigger you make the panel, the bigger the icons get.
Your right the stock Gimp icon is too small no matter how large the panel is. But if you open the Gimp Launcher Properties and change the icon to /usr/share/icons/ContrastHigh/48x48/apps/gimp.png it looks much better.
I make a lot of custom icons by looking for them at websites.
A lot of the UM icons are black and white. (I like color ones.)
Then I use Gimp to scale them down.
I messed with that idea.
But the bigger the panel, the more space it takes from other open apps.
