I have a 15" PowerBook G4 (PowerPC 7447A) That I cannot make the brightness settings stick. I can press the fn+F2 and eventually get the screen to full brightness but, it never stays there. Any way I can solve this? I don’t even care if it’s adjustable or not. Full bright 100% all the time would be fine. Thanks.

What version of Ubuntu MATE are you using?
Also, it’s unclear from your post whether the brightness changes during normal usage or if brightness is reset on reboot, can you please clarify?
Ubuntu MATE PPC 16.04. It is happening during normal usage.
Just making sure it's not something simple. Is Dim display when idle checked?
