Scsi host5: runtime PM trying to activate child error

I get the following on the latest iso installed:
“scsi host5: runtime PM trying to activate child device host5 but parent (1-9:1.0) is not active”

It shows up during boot and on syslog. Never seen it before, and google isn’t much help.

Could you be more specific?

  • Which version of Ubuntu MATE are you using? 14.04, 16.04 or 16.10?
  • When does this error show up?
  • Could you post the syslog or part of the syslog containing the error? Please use http://hastebin.com/ for this and post the link.
