The "inxi" output below is from an old "HP Pavilion dv6" laptop computer that I bought (new) way back in 2010 (13 years ago!) and that was my "daily driver" computer until 2017.
Back then, the computer came with Windows 7 pre-installed, it had 4 GB of RAM and a 500 GB HDD (Hard Disk Drive).
In 2013, I repartitioned the hard drive to install regular Ubuntu 12.04 LTS ("Precise Pangolin") to dual boot with Windows 7
In 2016, I did a fresh install of Ubuntu MATE 16.04 LTS ("Xenial Xerus") in the Ubuntu partition to replace Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
A year ago (in 2022) I replaced the regular 500 GB hard drive with a 240 GB SSD and I upgraded the RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB. I did a fresh install of Ubuntu MATE 22.10 ("Kinetic Kudu") and used the entire drive space for it (so, it is no longer a "dual boot" system). This year (2023), I did an upgrade of the Ubuntu MATE version to Ubuntu MATE 23.04 ("Lunar Lobster").
