I find everything to work with out error on fresh install. I use the proprietary nvidia drivers. Computer is very fast and responsive.

The PC has 16GB of DDR3 RAM clocked at 2400MHz
I have a Dell C1765nfw laser (led) printer, through a network connection. This prints fine. The inbuilt scanner isn’t detected by SANE, even when connected via USB. However, it is possible to scan to email in jpg or pdf and this is by far the easiest way to scan.
There is an Akasa AK-ICR-09 3.5 inch Bay Internal Card Reader fitted. I haven’t configured this yet as I just built the machine at the weekend. It was fitted to my previous machine, also running Ubuntu MATE 15.10 x64. All of the readers work. (It contains ports for SmartCard, MS/MS Pro/MS Pro Duo, SD/SDHC/MMC/RS MMC, Extreme digital, Micro SD, M2 and CFI/CFII/MD). The aim is to use a SmartCard to login. There are a number of projects around working on this.
My CPU cooler is a Corsair (CW-9060017-WW) Hydro Series H80i GT 120mm High Performance All-In-One Liquid CPU Cooler. This comes with software which unfortunately only works on Windows. It uses a USB connection to allow monitoring of the cooler and the setting of profiles. There are people who have had some success in developing Linux software to do this. At the moment I have Windows 7 Professional installed in VirtualBox and control the cooler through that.
In terms of speed, I am more than satisfied. Using a SSD to install Ubuntu-Mate and the swap partition, and using a traditional hard drive as my home folder means it boots very quickly.
Addendum: I fitted a Bluetooth adapter from http://plugable.com/products/usb-bt4le (X0004WCG5T) and it worked out of the box.

Gateway FPD2485W 1920x1200 with DCDi
Epson SX-105 for text and basic scanner, Epson Stylus Photo 875 for everything else.
Runs fine for general use and F/OSS PHP Web development. Is fast enough that I don’t ever have to wait for it, and with Apache, MySQL and PHP server running alongside GIMP, multiple browsers, Geany with dozens of files open, and lots else SWAP is still @ 0 bytes. So more than adequate.
16.04 will go on asap.
(Do have 15.04 and 15.10 on pair of Dell Vostros laptops, again with 1920x1200 displays and Nvidia 8500 and 8600 graphics. Both are perfect under Ubuntu MATE bar the winmodems of course. More responsive than XP and Win7 respectively.)

Everything is just fine. As fast as I’d want it (certainly faster than Windows (7 or 10) was).

My main machine with 16.04 Beta 1. Fast and trouble/bug free. No printer on this one. Pretty much just an out of the box, and perfect UMATE experience.

I’m running 15.10 MATE and heating issues & nvidia drivers were an issue with me on my setup. To work around them and/or fsck issues I ran to on install I have found that using the nomodeset and/or fastboot command at GRUB boot (enter e at GRUB screen and then remove quiet splash and REPLACE with desired command) allowed me to boot into the dedicated installer and then once I got MATE installed I installed the Nvidia driver. As for heating using thermald, macfancntrl and pommd for the back light as well as a few other tricks I learned from Ubuntu Mac how-to’s. I keep my fans monitored with lm-sensors and real time fan monittoring via the panel and powersave governor keeps the Macbook 20 to 30 degrees cooler than stock Mac OS and runs twice as fast for me. Good stuff =)

When I first booted Ubuntu MATE 16.04 I had to set audio to output from the right card. I switched to Compiz for a tear-free experience as well (works on both graphics devices, internal and discrete).
Ubuntu MATE 16.04 works perfectly on this system.
PS : That OCZ SSD is a Vertex, it contains U-M while my Crucial MX drive has Windows 8.1 (to quench my MMORPG thirst).
