Hello, in Ubuntu-MATE15.10, users with encrypted home folders “faces” don’t show in the LightDM login when using MATE’s “About Me,” just the generic user icon.
In the past I had just dropped the .face file in the folder beside the unmounted .Private folder to get them to show. This time however I followed what XFCE in mugshot seems to be doing, which is adding an icon in /var/lib/AccountsService/icons/ and pointing to it in /var/lib/AccountsService/users/ with the line “Icon=/var/lib/AccountsService/icons/”
I was wondering what others might have done, or if there is a “best” or easiest practice for adding a user icon to LightDM when having an encrypted home dir on Ubuntu-MATE.
