I saw that busybox is preinstalled in 15.10 . I know that busybox contains linux commands . Good to have it in rooted android but do I really need it in my laptop ? Is it safe to remove ?
busybox
has been pre-installed for a long time. It’s essential in case the system encounters a fatal error during boot (eg. a failed kernel upgrade) so you can have a minimal shell. I wouldn’t recommend removing it, unless you know what you’re doing. You may need to replace other components like init
too.
