[SOLVED] How to play interactive VOB files?

I have some VOB files as a teaching materials. I use VLC to play these files. The problem lies with reading interactive VOB files: I can’t click on menus withing the vob files. It works perfectly in windows using VLC, but not in Linux including UM. If you have any idea how to work this out I would be very thankful!

Thanks everybody! I have figured out the solution myself. I just followed these steps and it works pretty well.

  1. Open Vlc
  2. go to Media in the menu bar
  3. Open file from the directory (* the .info file not .vob files)
  4. play the .info file and there you are!

Wow, thanks Faska. I also had the same issue with interactive VOB files since years ago tried VLC and SMPLayer and other KDE player nothing seemed to work…I just gave it a try some minutes ago in UM 15.04 and works cool…you rock Faska!

You are welcome brother. For me it was just an accident.

Hey Faska, I am about to delete the files since I can’t open it in any of my video players but your solution saved the file from being deleted. Freakin’ cool. Thanks man!
