Does Rhythmbox crash on anyone else when they select ‘play,’ after coming off ‘pause?’ Any advise?
Does this happen with all types of files or only specific formats? (Eg. OGG’s are fine but crashes on MP3?)
I don’t use Rythmnbox, but I believe it plays files using gstreamer codecs on the system, like banshee and totem.
Hi lah7, thanks for getting back. The only thing I use Rb for is playing Ogg Vorbis audio (audio/x-vorbis+ogg) files. When I select pause, all is fine; but when I press play (for 10 sec or 10 min, etc.) it resumes for a few seconds, and then freezes. If I close Rb (or kill process) everything is peachy, until I pause it again.
Try running Rhythmbox in debug mode - the output it gives may help to solve why it's crashing. 
From a terminal (CTRL+ALT+T):
rhythmbox -d

@lah7: Yeah, pause/play is still behaving - even after several launch/kills; 
I’ll know for sure, I guess, after a reboot. Truth be told, I waited several weeks just to be sure, before posting about the bug. Other than for the GNOME Main Menu 1.8.0 crashing, infrequently, Rhythmbox was the only flaw in my total U-MATE/WW experience. Wonderful stuff you guys - thanks again!
