[SOLVED] Variety Wallpaper Changer

I’m trying to install this application in Ubuntu Mate 15.04 but it doesn’t work now. I found the thread from June here where the same procedure as I followed worked, but unless I’m missing something, it doesn’t now. It’s supposed to install it’s own folder in /opt folder but the /opt folder is empty.

Has anyone installed Variety recently following this procedure?

Yes i’ve just set-up another Laptop with Variety on it about a week a go & installed fine for me.

I used :-

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:peterlevi/ppa
sudo apt-get update 
sudo apt-get install variety

I just check on my systems Variety isnt in the /opt folder

If installed its in /usr/share & /usr/lib/
you can find Variety App in the menu Applications > Accessories > Variety
