I have recently been getting SPAM Desktop Notifications, for example “Hey Baby, Visit Me” type notifications. I do not really want to disable Desktop Notifications all together but would like to get rid of the SPAM messages.
Are you using Thunderbird? Then those notifications are from your received spam messages.
There should be a “junk email settings” type of option in Thunderbird that can be accessed from your account settings( I can’t exactly remember it); from there those notifications can be taken care of.
No, I am pretty sure they are coming through the Browser, FIrefox.
Then I guess it’s web push notifications. It can certainly be turned off by going through the site’s permission settings.
Push notifications in Firefox can be configured in like so:
3 lines → Preferences
Privacy & Security → Notifications → Settings
