Steam does not install - missing libraries

When I try to install steam it gets so far then it tries to load some 386 libraries. Below is the message I get in the console:

Steam needs to install these additional packages:
libgl1-mesa-dri:i386, libgl1-mesa-glx:i386, libc6:i386

any idea where I can get these from and how to install them?

Well, yes, Steam is an i386 app, for Intel & AMD CPUs…

So now way tro get Steam to work then I assume, unless I customise a later
mac?

Yes, try some later model with an Intel processor.
