Shortly after installing Ubuntu MATE 19.10, I started getting a "system error" popup on restart, with an offer to report it -- but it never indicates what the problem actually might be..... in the past the error dialog gave some information.
And, things seem to work fine, so I don't know if there is a actual problem.
Any ideas on how to trace this, or get rid of it....
Some software or another has crashed and produced a file or several files in /var/crash/ You can delete those files if desired as their presence causes apport to want to report them.
You can tell what the problem might be by the file names which indicate the software that crashed. Looking at your system logs might also help you ferret out the misbehavior. Good luck kjireton.
