Testing the MaxAutoClicker program on Ubuntu MATE

Hi everyone,

I want to test the MaxAutoClicker program before installing the Ubuntu MATE OS on my laptop (now running Linux mint cinnamon tricia).

My question is: Have you already tested the MaxAutoClicker program on Ubuntu MATE??

MaxAutoClicker download link: http://maxautoclicker.blogspot.com/

You can test it if you have Mate installed (or with LIVE CD) and send the result including:

  • Screenshot
  • uname -a (linux command result)
  • cat /etc/lsb-release (linux command result)

If I am reading the question right, why not launch the UbuntuMATE live and select Try. Then install MaxAutoClicker it to see if it meets your needs. After reboot it is gone as it is not installed in your system. I used this method to test of one of my programs would install and work in UM22.04. It did so I was all set.

I haven't ubuntu mate iso right now (+ I have a bad internet connection)

That would be an issue as checked and my BU of iso is 2.7gb.. Don't know your options are maybe a friend could dl it for you. Nicer to try first as your system might have different hardware, drivers etc that an issue would show up in try method. MATE is excellent.
Another option might be to search for purchase copies similar to here:
Note: Older post did not spend time searching for newer.

Edit new link looks like there is extra characters (copied pasted) IDK

Have to click on Buy ubuntu mate on USB flash of DVD? link not the https://ubuntu-mate.org one.

This is not the place to test software. Start a VM and test your software there. I d/l the zip file and extracted the files.

file maxautoclicker shows:
maxautoclicker: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, interpreter /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2, for GNU/Linux 2.4.0, stripped

I will NOT execute this file.

Just a side question. Not familiar with VM but quick check (maybe wrong) shows VM images from 1.5gb to 2.gb. Which then would be launched in OP's Linux Mint Cinnamon Triacia system or is there a smaller version as DL capability, seems OP's limiting factor due to Internet connection.
Also agree with not launching, did not DL in first place as would just prove if it works in my system, video card, drivers etc. Your suggestion or the full blown try method seems the way to confirm it works properly on OP's system. This can be shown in the various posts where it doesn't work for some and works fine for others.

Hi, @mendy.

Just a small note, if I may: your "https://ubuntu-mate.community/t/buy-ubuntu-mate-on-usb-flash-or-dvd/23390" link is actually pointing to this "Testing the MaxAutoClicker program on Ubuntu MATE" topic where we are now. You may want to edit your post to fix that
