If I am reading the question right, why not launch the UbuntuMATE live and select Try. Then install MaxAutoClicker it to see if it meets your needs. After reboot it is gone as it is not installed in your system. I used this method to test of one of my programs would install and work in UM22.04. It did so I was all set.
That would be an issue as checked and my BU of iso is 2.7gb.. Don't know your options are maybe a friend could dl it for you. Nicer to try first as your system might have different hardware, drivers etc that an issue would show up in try method. MATE is excellent.
Another option might be to search for purchase copies similar to here:
Note: Older post did not spend time searching for newer.
Just a side question. Not familiar with VM but quick check (maybe wrong) shows VM images from 1.5gb to 2.gb. Which then would be launched in OP's Linux Mint Cinnamon Triacia system or is there a smaller version as DL capability, seems OP's limiting factor due to Internet connection.
Also agree with not launching, did not DL in first place as would just prove if it works in my system, video card, drivers etc. Your suggestion or the full blown try method seems the way to confirm it works properly on OP's system. This can be shown in the various posts where it doesn't work for some and works fine for others.
