Somehow I got a set of icons ('theme') during my upgrade from 22.04 to 24.04. Now I can't change what's currently presented because I don't recall what 'Appearance' setting I changed. Any suggest?
Hi, @gandsnut and welcome to the Ubuntu MATE Community!
To try to "restore" a default installed theme, I would select the following:
Theme:
- Yaru-MATE-dark or
- Yaru-MATE-light
Controls:
- Yaru-MATE-dark or
- Yaru-MATE-light
Window Borders:
- Yaru or
- Yaru-dark
Icons:
- Yaru-MATE-dark or
- Yaru-MATE-light
You will notice that those have the "MATE Roundel" showing on the choice offered in Appearance Preferences tabs/windows.
Once you've done that, before doing anything else, save that as a Named Profile, then start tweaking, one thing at a time, saving your choices to a different Named Profile, call that "Mine", until you get it where you want, or revert immediately (restore previously saved "Mine") after any change that is offensive.
Thanks @ericmarceau -- I'll check this later.
