Theme always reset after logging in

It looks like there was something wrong with the dconf editor, because I was toggling the use default switch and the custom value true and false switches and suddenly everything was back to normal. The themes are active.

So, toggling the setting to OFF, then back ON, resolved the issue.

Correct?

It looks like this. Something is probably stuck. I should note that I don't usually set anything in dconf.
