I have to say that I got used to and I liked your blue background “Tkn” avatar. But, considering that it is your avatar, what matters most, obviously, is that you pick an avatar that you like!

Milky Subway, huh? My (adult) daughter likes that one as well. I’m more of a Monkey D. Luffy kind of a guy. Although I am a fan of Totoro.

Oh yes ! Ghibli's anime is really on another level
The creator Hayao Miyazaki , responsible for most of their collection, is great. 84 years old and still going strong.
My roots in anime go back to the mid 80's , starting with Ghost in the shell and Neon Genesis Evangelion. It was a niche. Expensive import and fansubs were the only way to obtain that stuff

If you like a sliver of sarcasm in comedy, Milky Subway is certaily worth the watch.

I never really got into anime but my daughter enlightened me a little. I did watch My Hero Academia for a bit but for me, but I can’t stand all the dialoging during the combat scenes. It takes like 8 or 9 episodes to cover just a few minutes in combat. I would get so frustrated and tell the tv to shut up and get on with it, but no surprise, the TV didn’t listen to me. It’s maddening. I supposed the manga would be better, but I am not that into it.

When I was a kid, reading Asimov, I fully expected to be living in space by now, maybe even on the much-promoted L5 concept space station. Unfortunately, that never came to pass. Also, I only very late came to enjoy the presence of cats, introduced to them by my wife 15 years ago. But at my "tender" age of 70, we no longer have cats since our last one passed away 5 years ago, and we don't want to make any new cats suffer the separation from our possible passing, so we don't anticipating adopting any more fine furry feline friends!
My own avatar is a "nod" to both those forlorn hopes!

That cool! I actually never liked cats until my wife introduced me and I am now definately a cat guy. And I don’t know about you, but I plan to live forever.
