Top panel won't stay in place

Hi everyone!

I've got a peculiar problem in my Ubuntu Mate. I tried to personalise my top panel to be just in the centre of the top of my screen but when I do that it keeps unpinning itself from top and "sticking" to my cursor and following it everywhere. I then need to struggle (it's still stuck) to open the options and choose to widen the panel to the entire screen which is the opposite of what I tried to do.

Here's what's actually happening:

Would you please tell us how you managed to get the top panel to behave in this fashion?

Thanks LudiBeat.

Is this a raspberry?

Yes, it’s a RPi. Well, e.g. I click on a minimized window and the panel just sticks to my cursor…

Thats an odd problem. Try this in terminal:

gsettings set org.mate.Marco.general placement-mode 'automatic'

And you been moved to the Pi forum

Off-topic: I like your background. Is there any way to provide a link to download it?
