Got toolbars selected, and when I go to adding buttons on the toolbars I only see a Pages option, which is an text box where you put the page you want. Didnt see a Total Pages option.
The one by the mouse is the Pages option.

That's weird, total pages should be right there beside the "Select Page". What version of Atril are you using? Are you on Linux Mint?
atril --version
Says:
MATE Document Viewer 1.20.1
Using Ubuntu Mate 18.04.2
Everything seems okay to me; there should be a "total pages" option there... I have to say that your toolbars seem different than it usually is by default in Atril.
Try uninstalling (with --purge
) and reinstalling the package.
Yeah, I rearranged and added some options on my Atril toolbar way back.
I think I finally got whats wrong. If you add, or move the Pages option on the toolbar, the page total number disappears. Upon restarting Atril again I could see the numbers again.
I guess mine wasn't working because I removed the Pages option before I closed it since it appeared as a blank box. Maybe putting it in a non-editable box like on X-viewer might fix it.
