Hi,
I am having a problem with my Toshiba Laptop’s Touchpad not working after I installed a bunch of updates last night. I can see that Mate recognizes it being there, I can edit options for using it but I can do whatever i want and it still won’t budge an inch with the touchpad or buttons… I have plugged another mouse in and used it fine, so it’s not a critical problem, more annoying when i don’t wanna use a bulky mouse!
Switch to the Guest session and try it.
A kernel upgrade break it? Try switching back to the previous kernel.
Not sure what kind of touchpad Toshiba has, could you post that info. It should be here (in terminal):
cat /proc/bus/input/devices

Hi @Dunkle_Dan,
have you tried any fixes in "Welcome > Software > Fixes" or tried running "dpkg" from the recovery menu?:
