Pls help. My trackpad will randomly stop working. I think its probably a driver problem but cant find a way to fix it

Can you monitor /var/log/kern.log to see if there is something happening there whenever your touchpad stops working?
Useful commands:
CTRL+ALT+T -> open terminal
cat /var/log/kern.log > ~/kern.log # This will save the kernel log life in your home folder
