Ubuntu 24.04.2 is here...?

Into the second month of 2025, we're getting 24.04.2. It's apparently scheduled for February 13 as per reports back in January. Much to my surprise however, I got the update early in 11th or 12th, if my memory serves me right. Did you guys got it too? How's it going for y'all?

On a different note, the images are delayed for a week, which reports attribute to the HWE kernel not being included in the CDs. Minor inconvenience though, but I hope it gets settled eventually.

...and Plucky Puffin will be here in a few months!

Well as I understand it there isn't much change if you already was on 24.04.1 since it is just a number change after some number of updates all across the board - I think it only got delayed for direct download if you only want to clean install the newest version on your machine as stated in this article:

Yes, that's what I was talking about on the second paragraph. Looking forward to the release next week!

The images are available for QA-testing.

https://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/465/builds

If you scroll down to Ubuntu-MATE; you'll note NO tests have thus far been performed (the initial notice of ISOs being available said 20250215 for all ISOs, some have required respin so dates vary; but the page I provided shows the ISO dates)

All Quality Assurance testing is welcome; but please report your testing on that tracker; so its not repeated by others.
