Ubuntu MATE 15.04 release candidate ready for testing

The Ubuntu MATE 15.04 release candidate images are available and we need you help testing them. Head over to the QA tracker, grab an image and follow some of the test cases. If you find problems raise, or link to, a bug on Launchpad.

Hi Wimpy,

I downloaded the 64 bit version and there are no problems that I can see thus far!.

I did a complete clean install btw!. I completely wiped both root and home partitions and formatted to EXT4.

24 hours later, the only problem(s) I have had was with an older version of Google Earth version 6, it won’t install due to dependency problems and I was forced to download the newer version, ver 7 which sucks because it doesn’t show any photos when you click on them, this is an old problem with ver 7 which hasn’t been fixed!. (Not related to Ubuntu!).
The screenlets manager starts with the system but the Clearweather screenlet doesn’t, when I click on the screenlets manager in the panel and “Launch screenlet”, it starts no problem?. (Not a deal breaker!).

Everything else is up and running no problem!.

Ok, I have tested it as you asked. Created several reposrts:)

I solved my small niggling problems by installing the 32 bit version, it is fully updated and all my apps installed, everything is running fine:

HP Compaq Presario, AMD Athlon II CPU, Nvidia GeForce GT 430 1GB and 4GB RAM!.

@meequz and @gravy45 Many thanks for so diligently testing Ubuntu MATE 15.04. Really, thank you. Great job.

New release candidate images will be made for all the flavours later tonight, I got several bug fixes included. So please do test the next builds when they get published
