I’ve just bought Raspberry pi 3 model B.
I installed Ubuntu MATE 16.04.2 LTS as it’s OS.
I just migrated from Windows to Ubuntu and I need help on getting my videos to be playable in the pre-installed VLC.
–what it does is, when I play the video the vlc will open execute for a second but after that it immediately exit.
Any solutions?
I can reassure you that it will work for a variety of formats - perhaps you found one for which it doesn’t.
There is a Media Info installable which can display the format details.
There are also some notes which tell you the output video module you need with the Pi (I found them by googllng ). I don’t have my installation to hand for reference.
I assume you purchased the mpeg2 and vc1 licences foryour Pi?
