Hi! Brand new here, trying out Mate 18.04 on a new laptop. I have been using 16.04 for several years, so I wanted the menu to look just like 16.04. So I clicked Mate Tweak - Panel - Traditional, and the whole menu panel becomes empty - no menus, indicators, nothing. Clicking one of the other options (Redmond, Familiar, etc) seems to work ok. How do you get the Traditional menu back?
Welcome. This is a known issue.
If you change back to Traditional menu in the MATE Tweak after selecting a different Panel, it should work as intended.
