I appreciate your effort in reviewing the upcoming update 23.04 and sharing your experience with us. My main expectation for this update is that MATE 1.27 will finally support Wayland (although many applications already work with Wayland, I'm referring to the MATE session specifically, as mentioned in this link). Once Wayland support is in place, I believe we won't have to expect any major leaps for quite some time.
