Actually, it seems that we do have some official news from Wimpy! I've noticed that, although Ubuntu 25.04 ("Plucky Puffin") - and the same version of its flavors / flavours like Ubuntu MATE - hasn't been released yet (Ubuntu 25.04 is scheduled to be released this Thursday, 17th April 2025), @Wimpy (Martin Wimpress) has already published today (15th April 2025) the "Ubuntu MATE 25.04 Release Notes" in the "Ubuntu MATE" Blog:
