Hi I just started having mouse issue. Mouse jumps to the left upper conner from middle or to the bottom right conner from the middle some times. I have wired mouse and I tried changing usb ports and it worked at first but then started again. Does any1 have any suggestions on how to fix this. Regards
What mouse are you using, can you specify that so we know if there was a thread about the same mouse somewhere else on forums?
Also - have you by any chance tested that same mouse on some other device to be sure if it was ubuntu problem or mouse problem ?

Some of my mice behaved like that too. The solution was to clean the mouse's lens to remove dust or hair from it. Another mouse did not react to cleaning its lens and I had to replace mouse mat. And the worst case was when the mouse in question actually 'died' and had to be replaced.

My mouse is logitech g502 hero I think.
Also my scroll weel not working it started from that and now mouse jumps around when I use it. I tried replacing usb port and that has fixed the problem only temporarily and then it started again.
One thing I noticed it started when I played fsp game cs2 and I thought that it was the game because I couldn\t play it the mouse was going beserk and then after it started doing it in desktop. Is it possible that fps games can effect mouse on the computer?
If your mouse is one where there is a rubber ball that can be removed, you can take that out and clean the rollers and the ball, and it should be OK.
