Thanks for posting this link. It is a happy convergence for me. - I have special fondness for libraries/librarians, family history (genealogy), and Linux desktop operating systems. These things all converged in an unexpected way in the article by Don Watkins at opensource.com . This is special to me (1) because a significant number of my maternal ancestors lived in Crawford Co., PA, (2) because I appreciate the helpfulness and expertise that I have found at libraries, and (3) because I run Ubuntu-Mate on all of the machines that I use and maintain.
