Ubuntu old theme

I’m using Ubuntu 10.10
I like the human theme.
I would like to know if it is possible to use Ubuntu 10.10 human theme in Ubuntu 14 mate.
I need to know how to extract that theme from Ubuntu 10.10, which files I must copy.
Thank You.

Yes they will work. It’s an icon theme, and it’s easy to transfer them to Ubuntu MATE.
In Ubuntu, copy the folder /usr/share/icons/Human to a flash drive. Then plug the flash drive into the MATE computer, and copy the folder to ~/.icons.
Then open Appearance Preferences > Theme and your current theme should be highlighted. Click the ‘customize’ button, open the ‘Icons’ tab and select ‘Human’. Your system should change to the Human icon theme immediately.

I can’t do it

I see that Human theme in Ubuntu 10 is in /usr/share/theme

I can’t understand

Right click and copy the file. Then paste the file onto the usb drive. Plug the usb drive into new install, open usb and the folder on the new install. Paste the file on to the new install.

he would also need to be root or “sudo’d” on the new install in order to paste them.

Or stick them in ~/.themes

sudo apt-get install human-theme

sudo apt-get install human-icon-theme

but still problem with integrate system-wide, what i mean: theme is on the apps, but not in the the system admin tools e.g. software center, printers… (basic longterm problem with themes in linux)

any idea how to integrate at all?pls
