Hi
On 24.10 with Kernel 6.11.0.14 which just installed through a regular update.
When rebooting I get there:
I don't know how to get out of it. Should I go full reinstall again ?
I did boot by selecting kernel 6.11.09... leading to an initramfs, but at least it asks me for my encryption password and can get in my user as normal.
Any idea welcome since I'm not much into this 'terminal' stuff
On Ask Ubuntu I found things...which I am not sure ...and date more then 10 yrs ago...

Kernel 6.11.0.18 installed minutes ago by a regular update
reboot went directly to shell/initramfs
So I did reboot and used the previous 6.11.09 (as per the above)
All this happened with the 6.11.0.14 update.

I never achieved to solve that one
My laptop hinge broke... So I bought a new one which now runs on 24.04.2 LTS and I moved and reinstalled everything on the new one.
I wiped the old one and installed 24.10 afresh. Everything looks good, but this one will now stay on a desk. The issue was really generated by a kernel update issue.
I'll wait before upgrading on the new laptop, since it is a day-to-day working tool.
