Hi, I've been trying to install Ubuntu MATE. I've dd-ed the iso to a USB. When I go to boot, it stops before it reaches any menus. I've attached a screenshot below.
I've tried different USBs and re-downloading the iso but I get the same error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try adding nomodeset to the grub command line before you boot it up.
From memory I think you can add it by pressing F6 and check the nomodeset option
Don’t forget you will need to keep adding this until you get you graphics card drivers installed.
Ahh thanks for that. After I pressed F6, it took me into the boot menus and there was a nomodeset option.
