Unable to install steam in 16.04

In my recent install of steam, i keep getting this when running it

ILocalize::AddFile() failed to load file "public/steambootstrapper_english.txt".
[2017-07-13 22:44:20] Startup - updater built Jun 16 2014 11:16:02
libGL error: No matching fbConfigs or visuals found
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast
SteamUpdateUI: An X Error occurred
X Error of failed request:  BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)

Can anyone help?

Okay, here is the fix.

Simply re-install the graphics driver. :slight_smile:

So we know which graphics driver is the culprit, which one does your system use?

I have a Zotac GTX 1050 Ti

btw, who did try a secure install with Firejail, like explained there?
I’d appreciate any return before launching myself…

FWIW, I just installed Steal the way it was described in the url above (in Firejail), and it definitely runs proprely :slight_smile:
