Unable to mount iscsi targets on boot

I am running into an issue that is caused by systemd, for not starting stuff the right way. I am trying to mount an iscsi volume (/dev/sda1) under /var/log. Problem is, that I cannot do this headless, because after a timeout, I have to press Ctrl-D to continue, or login with the admin password to straighten things out. I want to do this, so I will be able to use raid5 storage on my NAS, to write dynamic data, like logfiles. Not happening right now…

Anybody ran into a solution for this already? Would be nice?
