Update BIOS safely?

I thought about seeing if there is a newer version of my BIOS.

But I read that you can brick a computer if the process in interrupted.

This is my BIOS info.

If I were you, I'd see if there is a newer bios for this Gigabyte, download it, but wait until power-drop season is over before installing the newer bios. I've done this when the destination motherboard is powered up with a UPS of some sort also. Good luck fixit7.

I found the BIOS updates here.

My current bios is date 4/22/15.

But I only see a Beta one and it is only a couple of months newer.

I do have a UPS with a 30 minute run time.

Unless you feel that there is something wrong with this machine that might be improved with a beta bios, I heartily advise you to NOT install this BIOS update.

I have the asrock h81m dgs r2 motherboard and the last bios update is from 2015 !
The new update is beta and never try to install it reading the adviser
" We don't recommend users to update bios while the system is running well"
