I have Dell Inspiron laptop that I originally installed Ubuntu MATE 18.04. Then in 2020 upgraded to 20.04, then 2022 upgraded 22.04 and Ubuntu Pro, then today attempted to update to 24.04 After 6 hours the update process says it can't update the system and the system may be unstable. I rebooted and my system says I have Release 24.04.4 LTS (Noble Numbat) 64-bit. I have not done much with the system yet, but when creating this post, I noticed Libre Office is gone. I am sure I will notice much more as I go on. I guess I exceeded the maximum number of updates a system can handle. My plan is to do a clean install in the coming weeks which is the standard practice with all my other PCs vice upgrading.
