USB live boot - Is it secure for live to use as routine?

Hi , I’m new for linux.

Just curious , is it possible if I use live boot as routine , boot from this method every time with never install linux on harddisk , sometime I boot by USB live and keep computer turn on for 2-3 days. Is this method make my computer prone to virus or worm?

I knows that live boot has its own live user login without root login as usual , is this mean attacker can hack to my system with default live user password and control everything? I try to created new user while live boot with new password but I can’t delete “live user” out ,so I think user “live” still prone for hacking.

Another problems for live boot is updating, but I plan to downloads new image and create new live USB drive every 3-4 months.

Thank you forward for helping me

HI @kit556,

using your PC in a live mode would not (most likely) bring any more danger your way than when you had the system fully installed!.

There are very few Linux viruses out there anyway but you should be aware that a live CD will not update any security patches and that is a danger!.
