I've tried putting it in another USB port, still the same it randomly drops. Sometimes it takes longer, sometimes it just immediately drops after I plug it in back. If I missed a valuable information, please just ask.
Btw, I use Ubuntu MATE 18.04.2 LTS (Bionic).
I don't have the same adapter so my advice is a more general one. If you go to the support page at https://www.tendacn.com/us/download/detail-2916.html there are Linux drivers. If I was you I'd download and install them to try to solve the issue. If the vendor offers drivers for linux to hardware it is generally a good idea to download and install them if things don't work out of the box. Pls reply if the issue remains after installing the driver.
