I ran
don@gazp7:~$ sudo do-release-upgrade -d
to move from 17.04 to 17.10.
Now in Mate Tweak the only panel layout options I have are Fedora, GNOME2, and Traditional.
Where are the fancy new ones shown in the 17.10 release notes?
Please try
sudo apt update
sudo apt dist-upgrade
If the problem persists something went wrong with the upgrade
These new layouts probably require installation of some additional packages, which couldn’t happen with the upgrade…
Everything that is required is in the seeds and the ubuntu-mate-meta package, so as @APolihron says, the following to work:
sudo apt update
sudo apt full-upgrade
