Very Slow Boot MacPro 1,1 w.16.04.3LTS

Hi there, after many tryouts i decided to convert my old but goldie MacPro 1.1 to Ubuntu 16.04 using rEFIt
after the successful install i'm experiencing a very slow boot up, i tried to follow some other peoples issue like mine but i see that everybody seems to have different ways to clean up, i updated and purged what i know it's possible without do damages but my startup time is still 1min.40sec!! i assume that 30 secs with my HW is the good measure, i have no problem about the startup in itself, but i figure out that below this there is some problem hide.
I have to say that i'm a Newbie and what i know is due to guides online and some hard ass tryout, i want to thank in advance any good soul that give his time to help.
