No problem playing audio files but cannot play video files/streams! Tried to reinstall, changed output options - doesnt help! Any idea? Maybe some good alternative?
Open VLC - Tools - Preferences - Video Tab - click on Output and change it from Automatic to OpenGL video output
hope this helps - if not I use SMPlayer for video seems smoother
