I noticed that when playing videos or large audio files (e.g. FLAC) seeking (especially repeated, near the end of the file) often causes playback to skip and stutter horribly after you stop seeking.
I even tried the latest VLC 3.0.11 from the snap and it (mis)behaves exactly the same.
Did anyone else run into an issue like that?
I tried several other media players and only VLC has this problem.
I found a solution/workaround here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/597393/vlc-sounds-problems-after-seek
Basically instead of using the "PulseAudio output" module directly, selecting the "ALSA output module" and then "PulseAudio Sound Server" as device gets rid of the issue (VLC restart required).

thank you! this has been bugging me for months, a second silence after every skip forward and backwards. This made it work as it should!!
