Vuze Binding with VPN's network adapter

Have Vuze installed but have an issue. I am using a VPN and trying to set Vuze to bind to it. I set this up through the options menu in vuze. I add the adapter to bind set it to bind and it doesn’t. In my tests after setting it up, It will download weather or not Im connected to the VPN.
Any thoughts to help me out. I’m not very experienced with Ubuntu so detailed instructions are appreciated.

Which version of Ubuntu MATE are you using? What are your network settings? Do you get an error message?

Network settings:
Using Lan only I manually set the ip. Otherwise default. I have a standard ip scheme.
192.168.0.214/24
192.168.0.1 used as Gateway and DNS

Vuze settings I have options:
BInd to local IP address or interface - tun0
Available adapter info shows as follows:

The Tun0 only shows up when connected to VPN as it should.

I also have the Enforce IP bindings even when interfaces are not available…
and enable ipv6 which is selected by default.

Vuze is version 4.3.0.6

There are no error messages

Doesn’t look like it will. Reading the thing is about speed and envolves port fowarding, which I cant picture being related.
