Same as @acutbal here. No Clock no Weather Report after update.
16.04 on the Mate 1.14.1 PPA.
The update:
Upgraded the following packages:
libmateweather-common (1.14.0-1~xenial1.01) to 1.14.1-1~xenial1.0
libmateweather1 (1.14.0-1~xenial1.01) to 1.14.1-1~xenial1.0
Thank you for the fix, worked on my computer Virginia, United States
Iām not certain that everything is back to normal however Forecast not currently available for this location.
weather location = Washington DC Dulles International Airport.
Still same problem. May have fixed the service but this applet is still a disservice to Ubuntu-MATE quality elsewhere. The locations are the same, despite the service being able to report on weather from around the globe. Probably the locations list is also hard-coded(!) into the applet, just like the weather service was.
Useless and badly coded. And I wonāt report a bug in protest! I donāt think anyone needs to be told how you should not hardcode this type of data. Iāll keep using other third-party applets for weather reporting until someone realizes the world is bigger than that ridiculous list.
Edit: sorry for the rant and all the negativity. But itās frustrating. Never mind me.
