What I miss in Caja

In list-mode, there is no way to select more than one (different) file only with your mouse. You need always the keyboard.
And you can not auto-size tabs or I did not find this options.

But anything else is just a fine work in Caja! Thank you for this!

Caja in 18.04 is improved. It crashes less, it grays out less. Network I/O still hangs for 15-20 seconds with the progress box saying “File operation is in progress…” — it has nothing to do with the size of the file, or the speed of the network.

I still use PCManFM for all heavy lifting. It is a shade faster, and does not crash out.

Nice idea. I remember how this is made in MS Windows (since XP):

In 2010 Nautilus proposed something similar:

The idea behind this is simple: all items have checkboxes near them and any amount of items may be selected with mouse. I have seen this first time on some Windows-based tablet in 2008.

@Wimpy
How to get this functionality in Caja? Do we have any extension or action for this?

I'd love to see something like this added eventually!

I used to use Nautilus-Elementary from PPA back in the day and I always liked how they added options to the file manager. Caja is great, don't get me wrong but I'd love to see some more options and configuration.

Subtle but nice:
