Hello

What is the minimum hardware requirements for ubuntu mate now days ?

I have a very old PC with really old hardware so I need to know if it will work or not.

since it’s in different flat

From my personal experience I can say that Ubuntu 16.04.5 MATE works pretty well on Atom D2500 (but better on LGA775 Celeron and Core2Duo) with at least 2 Gb or RAM.
What hardware do you use (CPU model, RAM size and so on)?

I believe that it can run on PCs that have an SSE-capable CPU and at least 512MB RAM.

I’ve ran it on an “Atom” cpu netbook (built by HP for Linux) with 1 GB RAM. I upgraded to 2GB of RAM, and the increase in performance was very noticeable. That machine is now running 18.04 quite happily. :slightly_smiling_face:
