Where do I find if UEFI is Booting in CSM Mode?

I am going to the install a fresh Ubuntu/Mate.
The download screen states: "Ideal for computers with:"

  • UEFI PCs booting in CSM mode.

ISSUE: I have no idea what or where to find out what a UEFI booting in CSM mode is.

Installing on:
Samsung iNtel I3-3110M
CPU = 2.4 Ghz x 4 (quad) 64 Bit
5.6 GIG RAM ! (5.6?)
350 G HDD

TIA ~i~

UPDATE:

Thanks for the FOSS link/help @mdooley. It has been very helpful in preparing/setting up 5 devices.

FYI - the Ubuntu/Mate (U/M) ltop terminal command "/sys/firmware/efi" couldn't find the folder, meaning (according to FOSS), that it's using BIOS (I think) :thinking: I don't know if that is good or bad. But I'll use the BIOS version for U/M now.

Unfortunately my Win 7 doesn't show what FOSS instructions using System Summary lists on that particular line as described and shown in the image at the link @mdooley kindly provided. So I don't know what the Dtop does, except, I can break into BIOS at boot so I gather, it's BIOS when I install U/M alongside of Win 7.

NOTE: That I am doing a fresh install of Ubuntu on a existing Ubuntu/Mate machine and on three other ltops, removing Win 10 and installing Ubuntu/Mate. I'll be sure to check each one before installing U/M

Thanks again,
~i~
